CFH45: Day 28 Update

The Paleo Challenge has been a remarkable test of will, and many people have accomplished so much thus far.  The 25 participants that entered have been battling week to week for adherence to the Paleo Diet to change their body composition and improve their performance in a benchmark WOD.  I am going to list a set of accomplishments thus far.  While the competition is judge by adherence, body composition, and performance, one way that participants can track progress is in their weight.  Many of the athletes that have lost weight are simply losing weight due to where they are carrying their weight or lose that pesky last 5-10 lbs that accumulate at our trouble areas (hips, thighs, stomach, etc). Here are some highlights thus far:

  • Brian Fitzgerald has lost over 11.5 lbs
  • Amy Glynn has lost over 9.2lbs
  • Kara Lennon has lost over 6 lbs and improved her “Cindy” performance
  • Dana Buonincontri set a PR for strict pull-ups at the Warrior Challenge with 5
  • Daniel Burke has lost 5 lbs
  • Brad Bellomo started to use Intermittent Fasting to shed a few lbs to look good for Spanish Vacation
  • James Dickerson helped Warrior Challenge participants stay Paleo by picking up and cooking Paleo meals for the weekend

Even if you aren’t competing in the challenge, cheer these people on.  They have amazing resolve and discipline!!  Just this weekend, I was with many of the participants down at the shore…we passed on funnel cakes and a plethora of other bad food options, but these individuals preserved.
